Bajaga about canceling the concert: All this has nothing to do with music

The reason for the cancellation of the concert in Karlovci is the pressure on the organizers, Momčilo Bajagić Bajaga told N1, who pointed out that everything that happened in the previous days had nothing to do with him or music, but with politics.

He also stated that he did not pay much attention to it, because if you are not welcome to play somewhere, then it should stay that way.

When asked if he would accept the invitation to play in Karlovci in the coming period, Bajaga says that he would, if it wouldn't bother anyone.

"I understand their dissatisfaction, but I'm certainly not to blame for it," he added.

"I had much less opportunity to see what was happening... We were called by people from Karlovac with whom we had an agreement in principle, but not a contract, and said that due to certain pressures we would not do the concert. I said OK. We we went to Pula, we had a great concert, a nice evening, to remember. I really didn't pay much attention to it. If you're welcome you come and play, if you're not..."

"I've already said 10 times, I never sang those songs, with that band, I didn't even hear that song, and especially I didn't write it. I guess I would have remembered, I didn't shout that much. All this has nothing to do with me or with the music, those are political relations. I don't even follow the political situation in Serbia, let alone in Croatia," said Bajaga.

Bajaga's concert scheduled for September 3 was canceled last week due to pressure from veterans. After the cancellation, the organizers announced that Hladno pivo, who refused the invitation, would perform instead. Bajaga called their move slick and said fans could soon hear their song together.

After Momčilo Bajagić Bajaga's concert at Beer Days in Karlovac was cancelled, former members of the 7th Guards Brigade "Puma" also requested that his hospitality in Varaždin be cancelled. Mayor Ivan Čehok reacted to that, saying that Bajaga had already performed in that city and that the place was not Karlovac.

"We received a statement from the mayor. This Špancirfest event is very dear to me and this city has a history and is beautiful. We played twice and I don't know which time was better. We are really in top shape, we will play the concert we prepared for Pulu, I can't wait to get on stage," Bajaga concluded.
