Bosnian-Herzegovinian Sevdalinka interpreter Božo Vrećo will perform on February 24 in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Brussels.
This concert is one of the projects of the "Gratiartis" association, which works to promote sevdalinka, so that it can be included in the intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO.
Srećo does not hide that he is honored to perform in a grandiose building.
"We are bravely and strongly moving forward so that sevdalinka will come under the protection of UNESCO as soon as possible, as part of our intangible treasure that we are proud of," he told klix.ba.
The basilica is rarely used for such projects, and all European parliamentarians, commissioners and diplomats living in Brussels were invited to the concert.
The repertoire will consist of songs from Vreć's fourth album "Pandora".
He previously held two sold-out concerts in Brussels.
Publishing house Gratiartis plans to organize Vreć's concert in the European Parliament in Brussels and then at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris in the second half of the year.
