The second round of the trial between two Hollywood stars, the ex-spouses of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, which attracts a lot of public attention, began yesterday in Virginia.
The star of the movie franchise "Pirates of the Caribbean" has filed a counterclaim against Herd, demanding 50 million dollars in damages, because she damaged his reputation, according to the world media.
He also submitted a list of witnesses who will speak on his behalf in the courtroom, and it included numerous celebrities from Elon Musk to James Frank.
In the center of attention is the author's text written by the actress and published by the "Washington Post", in which the experience of a "victim of sexual violence" was conveyed, but she did not name Depp in it.
Depp, who once earned up to $20 million per role, claims that his reputation and career were ruined because everyone assumed the lyrics were about their five-year relationship and marriage.
Shortly after the accusations brought against him by Herd, Depp lost the role of the famous Captain Jack in "Pirates of the Caribbean", and he withdrew from filming "Fantastic Beasts".
The actor's fans are outraged that he lost numerous engagements, in February of this year they started a petition on the change.org website for Depp and his character Jack to return in the new sequel to "Pirates of the Caribbean".
