Montenegrin model Jovana Butorović, she replaced the catwalks in Montenegro with Asian ones, so she recently appeared in front of the audience in Shanghai at the Fashion Week there.
In addition to China, during the previous years she also worked in India, and she shared her experience, and the comparison in the organization of the Fashion Week event at home and abroad, in an interview for "Vijesti".
At the beginning of the conversation, Butorović reveals how she got the engagement at Shanghai Fashion Week.
"I got engaged for Shanghai Fashion Week through my agency based in the same city. We have castings every day, both for catalogs, campaigns, and for shows, both for Fashion Week and for independent designer shows. Through those castings, I was confirmed for the same", she explains.
As she says, at the last Fashion Week in Shanghai, which took place at the end of September, she had the opportunity to wear the models of the "La Mofiel" brand.
"Unfortunately, that's the only casting I managed to get, because I came later, so I wasn't able to go to the other castings, which were canceled a lot while I was in quarantine," she adds, and then points out that she is more than satisfied, and compares the organization of such an event in China and Montenegro.
"They are very professional, organized and practical. As a difference between Fashion Week in Shanghai and ours in Montenegro, I would single out the number of designers who present their collection, there are many more of them in Shanghai, which is normal considering the population...", concludes the Montenegrin model.
"In Shanghai, the presentation of the designer's collection is spread throughout the day, while here it is organized from a certain hour, one collection after another, which is much simpler," she continues.
"It very often happens that models appear twice in the same creation, due to the fact that there is not enough space for all the people who came to watch the show, so a show is first organized for one part of the audience, after the audience changes, another follows part, which is not the case in Montenegro", she adds.

Despite the fact that she only wore models at one fashion show, she did not manage to see the others live.
"Unfortunately, I was not able to attend one of the fashion shows, due to lack of time and commitments. Afterwards, I watched some of them online," she admits, and then singles out the fashion show that left the best impression on her.
"The Ivan 'Yong Couture' brand collection bought me. While watching the video and photos from the show, I'd be lying if I said I didn't wish I wasn't on the runway wearing one of his beautiful creations. The fashion show looked fabulous and luxurious. The brand has a very unique and innovative design", believes the Montenegrin model, who also uses her time in Shanghai for tourist tours.
"I'm in Shanghai for the second time, so I had time to see a lot and go around in my free time, both before and now. "I am currently near the Jing'an Temple, which is one of the most famous in Shanghai," the "Vijesti" interlocutor revealed.
As she says, in 2019 she was located near Shanghai's promenade, The Bund, which she used to get to know the city and culture.
"The Bund represents one of the most famous architectural symbols and main attractions of the city," she points out.
This is not Butorović's first engagement outside of Montenegro, so she also wore models at the Fashion Week in India.

"My first international contract was in 2018 in India. I've been there four times, because it turned out to be a good market for me. I did many campaigns, catalogs and fashion shows... I also participated in their Fashion Week", she boasted.
"Given that almost none of the international models have the opportunity to participate, being a part of it was a special charm and pleasure for me," he adds, and then reveals further plans.
"At the moment, I am mostly focused on my studies. Due to the global situation with covid, my lectures are online, so I can study and do what I love. After China, I have more options in the plan, such as Egypt, Italy, Korea...", hinted the Montenegrin model.
