After being the world's top model last year Bruno Gadelha on the red carpet of the Forbes celebration of the decade in Brazil wore a creation signed by the Montenegrin creator Milena Đurđić, an Emirati woman also decided on her design Sarah Al Madani.
"The creation from the picture was not made to order. It is one of several creations that Sara Al Madani took for her wardrobe, which are pieces from the latest collection 'Rough Weather', which received the award for the best collection for the last 10 years by Montenegro Fashion Week, and which caused, so far, the greatest attention, not only domestically but also from the wider public, and I received an invitation to show this collection, as well as my design work, in Dubai. Of course, that makes me very happy, because it is an indicator that my work is becoming recognizable on the international fashion scene. It is a special joy that the pieces are starting to be worn by world-renowned personalities from various spheres of art and business", confirmed Vijestima Đurđić.
Emirati Sara Al Madani has been a business woman since she was 15 years old. He runs four technology companies, has a skin care line. In 2014, Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi, the ruler of the UAE emirate of Sharjah, appointed her as a member of the board of directors of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). Since then she has been known as Her Excellency (ambassador). She inspires young women to be confident and pursue their career goals. In addition to her entrepreneurial work, Sara previously served as a board member at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the UAE Small and Medium Enterprises Council at the Ministry of Economy. She is passionate about representing the modern Arab woman.
As someone whose creations have already been worn by members of the world's jet-set, Milena also reflected on the fact how interesting the creations of our designers are to people outside the Balkans and whether they, like us, are burdened by brands or it is more important for them to have an innovative and creative piece :
"When we say 'people outside the Balkans', we first of all mean the ladies and gentlemen of Europe and the USA, who follow trends and love fashion, but, I would say in a slightly different way, to me, much closer and more acceptable. I think that they are less burdened by brands, that they are very happy to wear the pieces of young talented designers who push the boundaries in fashion art, and who, as you said, are innovative, different and create with a concept", believes Đurđić.
