The famous American actor Keanu Reeves flew off the track today in his first professional car race in Indianapolis.
Reeves, halfway through the race, at the exit of the ninth turn, flew off the track onto the grass, without a crash. He then continued the race and signaled that he was not injured.
Rivs qualified in 31st place out of 35 vehicles and finished the race in 25th position.
Reeves' second race is scheduled for Sunday.
Reeves drives a Toyota GR Cup, and the exterior of the vehicle promotes his new novel.
The famous actor has previous racing experience, having competed against other public figures in the Toyota Long Beach Race. Reeves was the champion of that race in 2009.
