Actress Jennifer Lawrence In her latest interview, she reflected on her image, especially during the period when she was at the peak of her fame, and revealed that she now thinks she was "irritating".
After breaking through in 2011 thanks to an Oscar nomination for her role in the film "Winter's Bone", Lawrence found herself on the A-list of Hollywood actresses with works such as "The Hunger Games", but also the "X-Men" franchise, and soon received numerous accolades for "Silver Linings Playbook" and "American Hustle".
However, she also became known to the public for her candid and often awkward interviews, which in a way connected her with the audience, but many soon began to accuse her of "faking" in order to be likable. The reason for this is that at the 2013 Oscars she fell after tripping over her dress, and then the incident was repeated in 2014 at the same ceremony, which the public thought was too much of a coincidence.
Now Lorens points out that interviews have always been stressful for her.
"Every time I do an interview, I think to myself, 'I can't do this to myself again. I feel like I lose a lot of control over myself when I have to promote one of my films in the media,'" she says, describing the interviews from the beginning of her career as "embarrassing," but insisting that nothing was staged or faked.
"That's me, or that was me and my honest personality. That was also my defense mechanism," the actress claims.
"Now that I look at those interviews, that person is irritating. I understand why people were annoyed to see that person everywhere. Ariana Grande's imitation of me was spot on," Lorens pointed out, alluding to the singer who mocked her on the "SNL" show.
The actress claims that the audience at that time did not accept her not because of her acting in films or her political views, but because of her personality.
Lawrence is currently promoting the film “Die My Love,” which will be released in theaters on November 7. It is a comedy in which she stars with Robert Pattinson.
