Serbian fashion designer, Igor Todorović, chose a slightly different way to present his latest collection for the spring/summer season "Macarons" in Podgorica - this time, without pomp, fashion events and a wide audience, he presented the models in an intimate atmosphere.

The event "MCRNS SS26 - After Milan Fashion Week" brings a contemporary backstage concept and provides a unique insight into the process of creating a fashion presentation inspired by the experiences of international fashion weeks, and was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

The presentation of the models was followed by Todorović himself, who described each model in detail to those present, from the materials he used, availability in other colors, the occasions in which they can be worn both as a set and individually, and emphasized that during the creation he took care to ensure that they fit women of all sizes.

"This is our sixth collection to be shown during Milan Fashion Week and we realized that all this season we have been constantly addressing customers, explaining piece by piece, constantly talking about the advantages of certain things, why this dress is better than another...", Todorović explained to those present.

The fashion designer pointed out that after the experience in Milan, where the "MCRNS SS26" collection was premiered, he decided to present models in Montenegro through a Showroom.

"Showroom presentation is a personal thing. I often say that fashion is above all a personal trait, not a national one, regardless of the fact that there are nations that have style and dress beautifully. That personal trait needs to be shared somewhere in exactly that personal way," he said.

"The collection for the next season is inspired by macarons, a famous French sweet. In the research we conducted, because I have always tried to ensure that fashion must have its own story, a suitcase of aesthetics and inspiration, of everything we talk about - so according to some historical traces, macarons were a cake that Catherine de Medici brought from Italy to France when she married the French king. Although the French ambassador, if he were present, would probably reprimand me and say that it is a French sweet," Todorović introduced those present to the inspiration for this collection.

"Catherine de' Medici introduced this sweet to the court as a taste, and fashion is also a taste. And that bridge between Italy and France, an Old Testament fashion capital like France and a New Testament one like Italy, was the inspiration to show our new collection, which premiered in Parma at the end of October...", continued the fashion designer, and revealed why he decided to show "MCRNS SS26" in Podgorica after Italy.

"I believe that the aesthetic heritage that exists here from the national costume is somehow a good way to respect that taste, measure and aesthetics," he said.
