Montenegrin fashion designer Milena Đurđić will present new demi-couture men's and women's collections tomorrow (December 15) at the Verde event center, starting at 8:30 p.m., and the entire event is called "The Turn of Reality".
"This is an author's project that continues the recognizable creative path of the designer, whose work has for years transcended the framework of aesthetics and entered the space of social reflection, personal responsibility and artistic consistency. The 'Turn of Reality' collection deals with the relationship between man as an individual and the society that shapes him, the process of transforming an abstract idea into reality, and the issue of personal and collective responsibility in the contemporary world," the event announcement explained.
"Milena Đurđić is a designer whose professional path is marked by discipline, dedication and a clear authorial identity. She has received numerous domestic and international awards. Her notable appearances and engagements extend from Rome and Venice, including the red carpet of the Venice Film Festival, to Dubai, where she presented her work in front of a high-profile audience at the invitation of international partners. All of these moments form the context in which tonight's collection is created, as a logical, mature and strong continuation of her creative path," the statement added.
"The 'Turn of Reality' show and the entire project is a reflection of the serious work of my team and our desire to create something that will have a broader character and social impact. I find inspiration for 'Turn of Reality' in the complexity of modern life, in the way social forces shape identity, but also in the individual power to transform the abstract into the real. I wanted to tell a story of transformation, resilience and responsibility towards the world we live in through each silhouette," said the designer.
The statement also emphasizes that the humanitarian character of the show gives the event special value.
"During the evening, guests will have the opportunity to participate in donations through a specially organized donation corner, while the designer will further increase the funds raised by donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of pieces from the new collection," the statement reads.
"The realization of this humanitarian fashion event would not be possible without the strong support of partners who recognized the importance of connecting fashion, social responsibility and humanitarian work. The project was realized with significant support from institutions: the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Culture and Media, the Capital City of Podgorica, the municipalities of Budva, Kotor and Bar," the organizers emphasize.
The funds raised will be directed to the Center for Autism, Developmental Disabilities and Child Psychiatry of the Institute for Children's Diseases at the Clinical Center of Montenegro, with the aim of providing support to children who need help the most.
