The global brand Dolce & Gabbana has launched a global campaign for the perfume The One, with Madonna as its face.
This campaign will mark the twentieth anniversary of the release of this perfume.
In addition to the Queen of Pop, the commercial also features actor Albert Gunre, and the footage and photographs accompanying the campaign are inspired by the Italian style of the seventies.
The commercial was designed and directed by famous photographer Mert Alas, and presents the perfume as a symbol of self-confidence, attractiveness and magnetism.
For the campaign, Madonna also recorded an Italian version of the 1968 pop classic "La Bambola," originally performed by Pati Pravo. This song serves as the soundtrack for the commercial.
The new campaign promotes not just one perfume, but two new fragrances joining The One line: The One Eau de Parfum Intense and The One for Men Parfum, with refreshed packaging and more pronounced notes.
This collaboration represents a continuation of a long-standing relationship between Madonna and the Italian fashion brand, and their relationship spans decades and includes numerous fashion campaigns and projects since the 1980s, when Madonna was already a global icon and the brand was just gaining recognition.
