A woman accused of stalking and assaulting former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsay Buckingham has been arrested in Indiana and is awaiting transfer to Los Angeles for further proceedings.
According to Rolling Stone, this is Michelle Dick, who was previously under a court-ordered restraining order against the musician, but despite this, she ended up in custody again over the weekend.
She has been charged with seven counts of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and criminal damage to property. The latest charges stem from a March 25 incident in Santa Monica, where she allegedly threw an unknown substance at Buckingham.
The investigation revealed that the alleged harassment did not happen just once, but has been going on for years, dating back to 2021. In addition to Buckingham, prosecutors allege that she also followed another person, identified as "Stephanie N.", who was reportedly in fear. While the name matches Stevie Nicks, there is no confirmation that she is involved in the case.
Due to the ongoing harassment, Buckingham sought court protection at the end of 2024. The court granted him a restraining order, which required Michelle Dick to stay away from him, his wife Kristen, their son, or their property for the next five years.
In documents filed with the court, the musician also described an incident in which a woman appeared outside their home and made disturbing and completely unfounded claims about their relationship.
The situation was further aggravated by threats sent to his wife via Instagram, and Buckingham stressed that his family felt seriously threatened by all of this.
