In the midst of a legal battle that has been drawing public attention for months, Ryan Reynolds spoke more openly for the first time about the situation he is going through with his wife Blake Lively, emphasizing how important her integrity and the preservation of her private life are to him.
During a guest appearance on "Sunday Sitdown," Reynolds hinted at how exhausting the whole process is, but also how firmly he stands by his partner.
"People have no idea what's really going on, you know?" he said, referring to events that have been unfolding in full view of the public for months.
He particularly highlighted the way Lively handled the situation.
"I've never been more proud of my wife in my life. I've never been more proud of someone who has that level of integrity, who carries that with her and brings it to everything she does," he said.
Speaking about public pressure, he also addressed the gap between what is seen and what is really happening behind closed doors.
"You really see a kind of illusion behind all of this, you know? Digital life versus real life," he said.
As a reminder, Lively filed a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni in December 2024 for sexual harassment and retaliation, citing a series of incidents while working on the film "It Ends With Us." Baldoni denied the allegations and countersued with a $400 million countersuit, which was later dismissed.
A new twist came earlier this month, when the court dismissed 13 allegations in the lawsuit against Baldoni, and his legal team then announced that they were satisfied with such a decision, emphasizing that all allegations of sexual harassment and claims against individual defendants were dismissed.
