Sam Smith and Christian Cowan are engaged

Musician Sam Smith and designer Christian Cowan have reportedly gotten engaged after three years of dating.

The British singer-songwriter, who identifies as non-binary, and the fashion designer were first linked in December 2022.

After the 2026 Met Gala held in New York on Monday night, Page Six editors announced that the couple was planning a wedding.

Sources claim that the yellow diamond Cartier ring the singer wore at the event is actually an engagement ring.

Also, a source revealed that Sam and Christian talked about their relationship in the hotel lobby before the Met Gala.

"As far as I know, the engagement was private. They are overjoyed and, from what I hear, very much in love," the source said.

Representatives for Sam (33) and Christian (32) have not yet commented on these allegations.

The couple appeared together at the Met Gala, and the designer created a striking black ensemble inspired by Eartha's work, which the singer wore that evening. It was accompanied by a matching black headpiece designed by Stephen Jones.

"I've always loved Erte. The way he brought costume design into the world of fashion through his illustrations. That signature 1920s opulence and craftsmanship," Kovan wrote on Instagram, adding that he used 255.000 individual crystals and beads for this creation. 2.000 hours of handwork.
