Although it seemed that the legal conflict between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni was finally closed after the settlement over the film "The Story Ends With Us", new problems for the actress have just surfaced.

Namely, court documents revealed internal details of her hair care brand "Blake Brown Beauty", including a large number of complaints from users who claim that the products caused their hair to fall out, dry out and break.

During the trial, Baldoni's legal team tried to dispute Lively's claims that the whole situation damaged her business reputation and product sales. The defense requested access to the company's internal communications, and documents that later became public showed that the problems with the products existed long before the media attention.

The hair care line was launched in August 2024 with a major marketing campaign and an exclusive partnership with the Target chain. Lively said at the time that she had been working on the products for seven years, while the prices of shampoos, masks and other products were between $19 and $25. However, soon after the start of sales, numerous negative reactions from customers began to arrive.

Among the comments posted publicly were some very harsh criticisms from users who claimed that their hair had become dry, brittle, and damaged after using the product. Some women reported increased hair loss after just a few washes, while others said their hair became tangled, split, and looked "like straw." There were also complaints about itchy scalps, as well as the texture of the dry shampoo, which they said left a sticky residue.

Negative reactions quickly spread across social media, especially TikTok.

That the company did not ignore the problem is confirmed by an internal email from the brand's CEO sent to Blake Lively in September 2024. It states that as many as 42 percent of comments for one of the best-selling shampoos were specifically about dryness, breakage, and hair damage. The hair mask didn't fare any better either, with more than half of the users who sent feedback complaining that the product left their hair heavy, greasy, and tangled.

The problems were not only related to the product's composition. A large number of customers also complained about the packaging, stating that the packaging was impractical and that the product was difficult to use. Some users also felt that the quality of the product did not justify the price of around 20 euros per bottle.

The same internal communication also mentioned a crisis plan through which the company would try to alleviate customer dissatisfaction.

Although details from internal documents have been leaked, the Blake Brown Beauty brand is still available for sale, and the offering has since expanded to 18 products.

Blake Lively's representatives declined to comment on the users' allegations, sticking to the company's slogan: "Love your hair, and it will love you."
