Lopez claims she had no help with parenting

Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has recently found herself back in the public spotlight, not only because of the new film "Office Romance" but also because of her children, Emma and Max, with whom she can be seen more and more often in paparazzi photos in the tabloids.

Now, the owner of the hit "On the Loor" guested on the SmartLess podcast, talking about the 18-year-old twins she shares with her ex-husband, musician Marc Anthony. On the occasion, she reflected on her "crazy" experience of motherhood on the occasion of her children's high school graduation, emphasizing how she managed to balance parenting with her successful career.

"Now I can really look at my life, appreciate it for what it is and what I've created for myself, and be truly happy," Lopez said.

"Both of my children were accepted to all the colleges they applied to. They both received scholarships and are going where they want to study," she boasted.

"I thought, 'You did this all by yourself,'" the 56-year-old star told hosts Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes, adding that she had very little help raising her children.

Lopez was married to Anthony for seven years before they split in 2011. They finalized their divorce in 2014 and agreed to joint legal and physical custody of the twins.

Since then, Anthony, who already had children Ariana (31), Chase (35), Christian (25) and Ryan (22) from previous relationships when he married Lopez in 2004, has continued to expand his family.

He and his wife Nadja Ferreira had a son, Marko, in 2023, and earlier this year they announced that they were expecting a second child, who will be Anthony's eighth.

Meanwhile, Lopez was married to Ben Affleck for two years.

However, despite moving on after her divorce from Anthony, Lopez says he will always have a special place in her heart.

"We are great friends. And we are parents together," she concluded.

On the other hand, her twins, Emma and Max, as well as the singer and actress herself, have come under fire after she boasted about receiving scholarships. Many pointed out that Lopez's fortune is estimated at $400 million, and that her children have no real need for scholarships, because she can pay their tuition and pass the scholarships on to those who really need them.

In new interviews, Lopez has not commented on these allegations.
