Lizo spoke about her weight loss, but also about regaining it.
The 38-year-old singer avoided answering questions about why she lost so much weight.
"There are many reasons. People always want to reduce everything to one headline or one single reason. And at the same time, several things can be true," she said in an interview with The Guardian.
She added that at some point her weight began to affect her health.
"I got to the point where the weight was causing pain in my joints and my whole body. At the same time, I withdrew from the internet, leaving only the studio and my thoughts. I dedicated myself to what I could control - my body, my lifestyle, my routines and my habits. That's the person I am today," she said.
Lizzo began her weight loss journey in 2024, but has repeatedly denied claims that she used GLP-1 drugs to lose weight. The singer revealed that her weight continues to fluctuate.
"I've gained about nine kilograms since last year, so if anyone wants, they can ask me how I gained weight," she said.
She also addressed the pressure that women, especially those in the spotlight, are exposed to on a daily basis.
"There is a system that constantly puts pressure, especially on women, and especially on women who are famous. That system is relentless and wants you to feel bad about yourself. It won't stop until you buy every product, believe every lie, and turn it all against yourself. That system is working harder today than ever," she concluded.
