Marilyn Manson gets trial date for former assistant's allegations

Marilyn Manson's former assistant, Ashley Walters, will get a chance to present her case against the musician to a jury after a judge set a trial date for November 15, 2027. Walters accused Manson of sexual, physical and psychological abuse during her time working for him in 2010 and 2011. She also claimed to have witnessed him physically assault his ex-fiancée, actress Evan Rachel Wood. The lawsuit was first filed in 2021, and the case went through several court proceedings before being reopened this year. Manson denies all the allegations. Although a trial date has been set, his attorney Howard King believes it will never happen. "We are confident that the case will never go to trial after the court considers our upcoming motion for a mistrial," King said. Manson previously faced a separate investigation in California, which was dropped in January 2025, without charges being filed.
