Kotor was a place of fashion and glamour for two days

Kotor has been in the spotlight for the past two evenings, and the second edition of the Fashion Bang event ended last night at the Arms Square.

The finale was marked by fashion shows by Montenegrin designer Marina Banović and regional designer Predrag Đuknić, with the performance of singer Nevena Božović as a special guest.

After almost 15 years, Banović returned to Kotor with a fashion show, and the collection she presented was originally intended for Cetinje.

"I was very happy when they invited me and said it would be at the Arms Square, because this collection was supposed to be shown in Cetinje. Nothing could rival Cetinje like Kotor and the Arms Square. This topic was very important to me, because I walked through Montenegro and the story of a Montenegrin woman through it," said Banović.

Đuknić presented more than 20 models to the audience, some of which were specially prepared for this show. The collection was dominated by silk muslin and silk taffeta, while some dresses were decorated with hand-embroidered beads.

"Such a wonderful welcome, such wonderful cooperation with people and this number of models is something special and therefore it was truly enjoyable. When we see everything we have done in the previous period and people enjoying all of it, it leaves special impressions for us as well," Đuknić pointed out.

The musical program of the second evening was completed by Lara Baltić, while Nevena Božović was a special guest on the runway.

The first evening of Fashion Bang brought collections from Marko Krstić and Sanja Matijević. Krstić presented 20 models and introduced himself to the audience for the first time in Kotor, while Matijević combined classic and contemporary elements through 15 creations, inspired by Montenegrin tradition.

The musical part of the first evening was performed by members of the Vokalisti choir, under the conductorship of Saša Barjaktarović.

A special part of the program was the "Female Heroine" award, which this year went to visiting nurse Olga Krivokapić.

Behind Fashion Bang are sisters Milena Mačić and Jelena Kašćelan, who, after a long career in modeling, focused their experience on organizing fashion events.
