Lady Gaga is asking the court to reimburse her for the $232.484 she spent on legal fees in a dispute with Lost Surfboards over her album "Mayhem."

The company sued the singer last year, claiming that the album's title could lead the public to think the release was associated with their surfboard brand. They also claimed that the stylized red "Mayhem" logo used by Gaga was similar to their trademark.

A federal judge dismissed the lawsuit last month, ruling that the album's title was unlikely to cause confusion.

Gaga previously called the case a "marketing ploy," and her lawyers now argue that the lawsuit never had a legitimate legal basis. They say the company tried to capitalize on the singer's fame and popularity for using a "common dictionary word."

"No one should be allowed to use federal courts to bring a lawsuit against a famous artist simply as a way to garner attention. Nor should a lawsuit be allowed to be used as a means to extract a settlement that the facts and legal basis cannot justify. This lawsuit was both," Gaga's lawyer wrote in a filing, obtained by Billboard magazine.

Gaga has already won one case in the past. In December, a judge rejected a request by Lost Surfboards to ban her from selling products with the "Mayhem" label.

The company accused Gaga of "blatant disregard" for their trademark rights in the lawsuit. The singer is now seeking a refund of the money she spent defending herself against the lawsuit.
