The British company Service Partner ONE published the Coffee Price Index document, which analyzed the prices of coffee in the countries of the world for 2016, as well as the amount of coffee consumed in those countries. It was found that Zurich sells coffee at the most expensive price, while this hot drink is the cheapest in Rio de Janeiro.
While in Brazil you pay an average of 0,98 euros per cup, you will pay 3,40 euros for a coffee in Zurich. The average was calculated based on the prices of coffee consumed at home, in the office, coffee shops and Starbucks.
It is Starbucks that has the highest prices. Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo in Brazil have the lowest prices for coffee of this brand - 1,41 euros, while you will pay the most in the Swiss cities of Geneva, Bern, Basel and Zurich - 5,76 euros.
When it comes to quantity, the least amount of coffee is consumed by the residents of Hanoi in Vietnam - 0,4 kilograms per inhabitant, and the most in Helsinki, Finland - 9,6 kilograms per inhabitant.
The research did not include the countries of the Balkans, the Middle East, Russia and Africa.
