Many people use liquid soap instead of solid soap, believing that because of the packaging, it is more resistant to bacteria and provides more cleanliness.
However, this does not have to be true.
Bacteria can accumulate on liquid soap bottles, which mostly settle on the plastic caps, when you press them to release the soap.
This is especially true for those bottles that you refill with liquid.
Dan Renner from Katol Products, which produces cleaning products, says that each bottle can come into contact with bacteria that are nearby.
"This can come from dirty hands, dirty washcloths, dirty water or airborne particles that build up during refilling," he said.
This is precisely why liquid soap bottles should be washed regularly, especially if you use them several times and refill them with soap, reports B92.
