For most adults, the morning routine looks like this: we move the wake-up time on the alarm clock several times, get up, shower, put on deodorant, get dressed, and leave the house. However, in that arrangement, deodorant is redundant. Experts have found that it should be put on in the evening, before going to bed. Here's why...
Antiperspirant works by closing the sweat ducts, which means it prevents sweat from leaving the body. By spraying the deodorant in the evening (when the skin is dry and the sweat glands are less active), the antiperspirant has enough time to clog the channels.
Even if you shower in the morning, the antiperspirant should continue to work for the next 24 hours.
This small change in your routine will not save you much time in the morning, but it will save you from the inconvenience of starting the day with large sweat stains on your clean shirt or dress.
