- Dust and mold can cause allergic reactions.
- Air conditioners are often the cause of chronic rhinitis and pharyngitis, throat irritation and hoarseness.
- They can worsen eye problems, lead to conjunctivitis and blepharitis, and cause problems for contact lens wearers.

- The space where the air conditioner is located should be aired regularly.
- Installation and maintenance should be performed by a professional.
- Average humidity must be between 60 and 70 percent.
