Make your carpet shine again

In addition to being comfortable and warm, the carpet can be a very important detail in the interior, due to the wide range of materials, designs, colors and patterns that can be found on it. To keep your carpet always looking like new, first make the right choice when buying, then follow these maintenance tips:

First step: usual care

Frequent vacuuming will help keep soil, sand or dust from sinking into the carpet. Dirt can ruin and scratch carpet fibers, so regular vacuuming just keeps that new look. Surfaces that are frequently stepped on should be vacuumed two to five times a week.

Use a vacuum cleaner with adjustable brushes that match the type of carpet and the area you are cleaning. Regular vacuuming not only collects dust, dirt and cleans the surface layer, but will also lift the fibers and prevent daily wear and tear.

Step Two: Say goodbye to bumps and dips

If threads appear on the surface of the carpet, do not tear and pull them! Remove them or cut them with scissors. You will repair a dent left by a piece of furniture by first removing or moving the furniture from that place, then using a cloth to heat the dent with a hair dryer and run your fingers over it ("rake"). Do not heat the carpet directly!

Step three: tackle stains and blemishes

Stains and stains are inevitable, no matter how careful you are. Follow the manufacturer's cleaning instructions and never rub the carpet surface too hard, as you can damage the fibers.
