All children are their parents' greatest treasure. However, some are real gems: perfectly played difficult compositions, beautiful drawings of "little geniuses", the ease with which they solve mathematical problems, leave adults breathless.

One such gem is Mia Raičević, a student of class VII-1 of Elementary School ˝Luka Simonović˝ in Nikšić. He goes to the XNUMXth grade of the music school and plays the piano.

In addition, Mia is a member of the Student Parliament of her school.

During the conversation, this versatile girl leaves the impression of a discreet, quiet and impeccably educated person, who at first glance is no different from her peers.

When it comes to mathematics, Mia tells "Život" that for her it represents a world of puzzles that need to be solved.

"I feel great excitement and pride when I do a difficult math problem correctly."

She says that she was introduced to the world of mathematics by her teacher and classmate Ljiljana Kruška.

When asked how she felt when she won the national competition, she answered "I couldn't believe it".

"After the competition, we approached our teacher and told her the procedure and solutions to the tasks. I remember that the teacher then told me that I would win one of the first three places. It sounded incredible to me”.

She points out that her parents were also very happy about her success.

"They were with me the whole time and supported me. They didn't expect much. It was important to them that I participate".

She states that there were four students from her school with her at the competition.

˝With me were: Milivoje Karadžić, who at that time won second place, Andrea Medin, Aleksije Komnenović and Stefan Mandić, so I am also connected to that competition by a nice association.˝

Describing the preparations for the competition, he says that they mostly practiced in the school library.

˝In those days, the library looked like a real little math workshop. We solved tasks together, practiced. Five days before the competition, we practiced for eight hours a day,'' Mia remembers.

When it comes to music, he says that when he plays the piano he enjoys it and feels fulfilled.

˝I like to play Bach compositions and waltzes the most.˝

The desire to fight for children's rights led her to the Student Parliament.

"I want to fight for children's rights. I see the student parliament as a way to make our voice heard. About how he likes to spend his free time, he says that he likes to spend it most with his friends.

When asked how he manages to balance all his obligations, he answers that he knows how to organize his time well. "I try to finish all school duties immediately. I don't wait for them to accumulate and then I have time for everything".
