A mother in Britain recently received a letter from her daughter's teacher expressing concern about her "What I want to be when I grow up" drawing. The drawing read "When I grow up I want to be like my mom," and appeared to show a woman dancing around a bar while men shower her with bills.
The point is that there was confusion, and this is what the girl's mother's response contained: "Dear Mrs. Jones, I want to explain to you that I am not and have never been a stripper. Namely, I work as a salesperson in the department of household equipment and I told my daughter how chaotic it was at work when the snow storm hit recently.
Then people literally fought over who was going to buy it. So her drawing doesn't show me playing around the bar but selling the last shovel in the shop. Thanks for your concern and I will always check her school notebooks from now on."
