After eight years at RTCG, Tanja Zečević - Miranović made the "hardest decision in her life" in 2008 - to leave that media house.

There, she says, she completed her internship, learned the secrets of journalism from the best journalists, experienced unforgettable moments, and made friends.

- 2011 is certainly the most beautiful year in my life, because I became a mother and I enjoy it with my son, but if you were to make a scale of good years, the years spent in TVCG are right after this one - says Tanja.

About what preceded the decision to leave that TV company, Tanja says that it came about "due to a combination of private and business reasons that happened in relatively short intervals".

- Simply, I had to ask myself then - are these signs on the side of the road that I should know how to read? All of us have, during our careers, many situations when we are dissatisfied with the existing situation, surrounded by misunderstanding of those who decide and when we encounter obstacles in the implementation of plans. My decision to leave TVCG was preceded by small dissatisfactions that piled up one on top of the other for a long time, a bad financial situation due to which we young journalists eager for work and affirmation, despite the good will of the editors, could not do the projects we wanted at that time - says Tanja.

The turning point that made her think about a different job happened long before she actually left RTCG, in the first half of 2006.

- Those who held the right to decide in their hands stopped the implementation of a project in which I, together with my colleagues, invested two years of work, creating a show that, according to all research, was the most watched of its kind in the Montenegrin media sky. The show ended without us being offered to do anything new. It was probably the last straw. The next year I worked a lot, but it seemed that nothing was the same anymore. Somehow I got tired and decided to take a short break from television - says Zečević - Miranović.

A job offer from Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) arrives in that period.

- In this whole whirlwind of feelings, wavering, thinking, comes an offer from EPCG. As I often cooperated with them on business, and people get to know each other through work, they thought that I would be a good solution for the PR of FC Distribucije. Even though, I can say, I got an offer that I couldn't refuse, even though it came at a time when I was at a turning point myself, it still took me a full five months to break through. And so, now I am in the Directorate for Public Relations of the largest and most financially stable company in Montenegro - says Tanja.

Journalism is my life

About her vocation, which she now deals with, Public Relations, that is, PR service, Tanja says that it "provides a lot of opportunities for a person to express his creativity". - It is certainly a profession that a journalist can work with pleasure, especially in the part of it that deals with relations with the media. By the way, when I'm doing something, I work as if it's the only and last thing in my life. I don't save money, I like to work and it fulfills me. It's the same in this business. But when you ask me about enjoyment, journalism is my life and only in that profession do I feel at home. If I hadn't tried something else, I would never have realized what I really like the most. Now I know - says Tanja.

Nothing happens by chance

When asked if there is a possibility to return to journalism, Tanja says "as nothing is final in life, I'm here now, I don't have to be tomorrow". - By the way, I'm always writing something. I have never lost that journalistic flair for recognizing a good story. There are offers, but I haven't felt that any of them have been the right one so far. I believe nothing happens by chance, so I know the dice will line up when the time is right. I'm fine where I am. For now - says Zečević - Miranović.
