Every second young woman is dissatisfied with sex, the conclusions of a British study involving 7.300 members of the fairer sex are worrying.
In the category from 25 to 34 years old, as many as 49 percent of women complain of a lack of sexual enjoyment. For the sake of comparison, in the group aged 55 to 64, less than a third of respondents said they were not satisfied with their sex life. However, it is not known whether the reason for this is that they enjoy sex more or, simply, sex is less important to them and does not occupy a high place on the list of their priorities.
It was also found that women who have sexually transmitted diseases, as well as those who do not have good communication with their partner and those who drink alcohol more often, are more likely to be dissatisfied with sex.
Scientists remind us how important sex life is for mental and emotional health, but they say that there are still stereotypes when it comes to women's enjoyment of sex, reports Novosti.
