Cold days are ideal for staying under a blanket, with hot tea in hand, and if we're out for a walk, there's no better way to warm up than mulled wine. And one of the true trademarks of winter is surely cinnamon. But, apart from its nice smell and specific taste, cinnamon can be your great friend in improving your health.
Among other things, consuming cinnamon tea is one of the best ways to regulate blood sugar. The preparation is very simple, let the water boil and add one teaspoon of cinnamon and let it stand for 15 minutes. The water will turn brown, and all you need to do is strain the liquid and drink it.
Cinnamon is also excellent in the fight against digestive system problems. The preparation is the same as for tea, except that it is necessary to add a few mint leaves to the water. Let everything stand for ten minutes, strain and make doses for three cups that you will drink during the day. This spice is also effective for weight loss because it acts as an antioxidant, and it is best to consume it in the form of tea with a spoonful of honey, preferably half an hour before breakfast.
If you have problems with lethargy and fatigue, add a third of a teaspoon of cinnamon to your morning coffee, and if you don't want to mix with coffee, you can do the same with porridge, smoothie or soup.
For better sleep, add one stick of cinnamon to warmed milk and drink it an hour before going to bed, reports Beauty and Health.
