Glovo is celebrating its second birthday in Montenegro. It has grown as a business, but also matured as a company, which functions compactly, seriously, with a focus on goals and targets that together as a team and each of them individually follow, achieve and believe in.
2023 will be the year of q-commerce
"All sectors have developed and we have rounded the whole," he says Nina Efović, responsible for the Q-commerce sector in Glovo Montenegro. She and Bojana Radović, executive director, are particularly proud of the development of the q-commerce service in Montenegro. "Glovo has really become a platform that offers everything you need in your city, but also more. As a company, we set standards in this area, and it is a challenge and an opportunity that we readily seized," says Bojana. "We started cooperation with some of the biggest brands on this market, justified our multi-category character, we are present in all coastal cities, we expand the offer focused on what are local needs. Finally, we launched Glovo Express, which as a service grew continuously in 2022, but which, we are convinced, will become one of the favorite services of the Glovo community. Therefore, 2023 is definitely the year of q-commerce," say Nina and Bojana.
That the past year was exciting and successful in every segment of Glovo business in Montenegro is confirmed by Vukašin Pejović, contact person for partners on the application. "When I started my career at Glovo, I noticed that there was a fear among many partners that Glovo would promote only large businesses, at the expense of small ones, that it would reduce visits to bars and the like. And that is precisely why, during the previous year, we invested a lot of effort and resources to prove the opposite, that not only everyone is equally important to us, but also that through various investments and campaigns, we are looking to help smaller partners, who make up 70, especially in small towns. % of the total number of partners on the application. This turned out to be a good assessment and decision, and I believe we are witnessing greater trust and better cooperation," says Vukašin.
Home team based on international experience
Not only Glovo as a business has grown, but also the team that creates and carries out these big plans. "During the last year, we increased the number of employees by 50%, as well as restructured the team, giving existing members new challenges, opportunities and positions. This turned out to be the biggest challenge for me personally. Because when we are looking for a new colleague, we are looking for someone who understands business, but whose character matches Glovo's values. There is no compromise with quality, our recruitment process takes a long time, but it allows us and the candidates transparency and openness. After him, there are rarely any surprises for both parties, and the cooperation is clear and successful," says Bojana.
Ana Stojanović after 20 years of experience in some of the largest Montenegrin companies, recently accepted with open arms the challenges that Glovo offers her every working day. "I was amazed by the manner of the recruitment process, the serious tasks, the number of interviews, the people who interviewed me. When I saw how they communicate with me and with each other, it was clear to me - this is a job where I will never be bored," says Ana. Ana and Vukašin point out that the special feature of Glov is the connection with colleagues from abroad. "We have colleagues from all over the world at our disposal at any time for advice, transfer of experience and knowledge, for a serious exchange of arguments. This is invaluable for personal and professional development and something that few companies can truly offer," they point out.
Summer season - a challenge for Glov's business
At Glovo Montenegro, they are aware of the challenge that the peak season on the Montenegrin coast represents for them. "It is quite clear that, in the current infrastructure conditions, we will need special creativity to solve the challenge of timely delivery during the peak season, and there will be a special focus on this during 2023," Bojana points out. "In addition, I am looking forward to bringing the initiatives that we have taken from the global level closer to everyone in Montenegro this year, such as Glovo Access i Glovo Local, which we support the community in which we operate. In this sense, we also have big plans for this year," concluded Bojana.
