The sound of the alarm interrupts carefree sleep and instantly raises blood pressure and speeds up the heartbeat, according to the results of a 2005 study.
However, scientists are now warning that the greater danger is hidden in the benefits that the alarm offers us - in delaying, or snoozing.
Since it is already dangerous enough that you have disturbed your heart with a violent awakening, snoozing the alarm means that you continue the attack on your heart several times within 30 to 60 minutes.
Scientists have proven that a few snoozes every morning multiplied by the number of working days can seriously damage your heart and nervous system in a short time.
Unfortunately, few of us can avoid using the alarm, but then it remains to actually get up when it rings, and to reduce snoozing to a minimum, reports B92.
