Photo story: New life of old pumps

From artsy apartments in Sussex to trendy burger bars in London, England's old petrol stations are enjoying new life after creative restorations.

In London, one of the classic pumps became a flower shop, and another briefly served as an open-air cinema.

In Great Britain, over 20.000 pumps have closed in the last 40 years, of which 8.500 in 2015 alone.

Big chains shut down small entrepreneurs who only had a few stations.

Now the stations are coming back to life, but under different people and with a different purpose.
