Palasios (23), received the crown from last year's winner, American R'Boni Gabriel, Miss Universe 2022.
Colombian Maria Camila Avelja (28) and Michelle Cohn from Guatemala are the first two mothers who participated in the Miss Universe competition, whose organizers wanted the competition to be more open.
Avelja managed to be among the five finalists.
Nepalka Jane Garet, is the first woman whose curves are larger than usual for Miss Universe.
