The model represented Montenegro at the Miss Globe competition, which was held in Albania from September 27 to October 17, and she returned from that pageant with a ribbon, as the jury declared her Miss Bikini.
As she told "Vijesti", after returning from the beauty contest, she wished for one of the titles, but she did not hope that she would win it, and she also shared her impressions of Miss Globe.
"My impressions are phenomenal. It was a wonderful experience, full of new friendships, challenges and opportunities to show myself on the international stage. I especially liked that we had the opportunity to visit several cities and get to know different cultures," Peku said.
In the Miss Globe pageant, girls from more than 40 countries presented themselves, so her success is all the more significant.
"Forty-four girls from different countries participated in the competition, which brought additional charm, because we exchanged experiences and cultures", she points out, and recounts what they did during the three weeks that the competition lasted.
"We visited various cities in Albania, where we visited tourist attractions and participated in promotional activities," says Peku.
As part of the contest, the Miss Globe organizers took the contestants to the cities of Montenegro in previous years, so they had the opportunity to visit Ulcinj and Bar, and this year they visited Gusinje, where the first presentation of the talents of the Misses took place, while they spent the next day on a mountain tour.
"We spent two days in Gusinja, where we experienced wonderful hospitality and natural beauty," emphasized the Montenegrin representative at Miss Globe, who used the opportunity to introduce the other contestants to her country.
"I used every opportunity to talk about Montenegro and its natural beauty. I especially introduced them to our cultural wealth while we were staying in Gusinje, and many girls expressed their desire to visit Montenegro again," she claims.
Peka also tells how she felt when the presenters said her name during the Miss Bikini announcement, and reveals whether she expected to return home with a ribbon.
"Honestly, I hoped, but I did not expect. When they said my name, I was overjoyed and proud of all the effort I had put in. It was a dream come true moment!", says the 19-year-old, and when asked if she is satisfied, she answers: "Absolutely".
"This is a great recognition for me, and I feel very happy and grateful that I had the opportunity to represent my country," she concludes.
The title of the most beautiful in this competition went to the Colombian Diana Moreno, and the interlocutor of "Vijesti" says that it was not a surprise for her.
"From the very beginning, I had the feeling that she would win. She radiated confidence, elegance and positive energy, and it was clear that she stood out. Although there were many beautiful girls, she really deserved that title", believes the Montenegrin model, and reveals her further plans after returning from the Miss Globe pageant.
"I plan to continue my career in modeling and devote myself to the promotion of Montenegro at international competitions. Also, I want to work on myself, so that new opportunities will open up for me in the fashion industry," she hinted.
Peku, a student at the Faculty of Economics, revealed in an interview for "Vijesti" before leaving for Albania that she was born in Switzerland, but that she has been living in Montenegro for the past nine years, where her parents are from, and that she was modeling as a child.
"I started modeling when I was only eight years old, and during the following period I worked on various fashion shows and photo shoots. Also, I was Miss Switzerland as a child, which further fueled my passion for this field", said Peka, who got the opportunity to participate in the Miss Globe pageant thanks to the AR Scouting agency and former Miss Montenegro Nataša Milosavljević Šćepanović.
