In Nikšić, the fashion event "Fashion Runway" was held for the first time, organized by the "D models" agency and the Municipality of Nikšić, with the support of "Exlusiv" and the Nikšić Tourist Organization. The people of Nikšić had the opportunity to see the creations of fashion designers Nada Koljenšić, Nada Vemić, Aleksandra Božović, Ena Hasović and Ksenija Đurković and guests from Russia, Elena Sycheva.
Not only models from the "D models" agency walked the runway, but also politicians and athletes from Nikšić who wore suits from the brand "Martini Vesto" from Leskovac. As they successfully navigated the catwalk, they don't have to worry when their sports career ends and they "give up" from politics. As the director of the "D models" agency, Danka Uljarević Baljević, said, they played the role of mannequins brilliantly so that she will always be happy to accept them as models.
The youngest mannequins from the Agency who wore the models of the brands "Boba Fashion" and "Kolibri" received the most applause.
Members of the middle group also walked the runway, presenting clothes from the fashion studio "Tripe".
The fashion show in Nikšić was also an opportunity to introduce the "D models" agency, which has existed for 20 years and has successfully implemented a large number of projects, to the people of Nikšić in a special way.
"I am very satisfied with the show. I did not expect that this would have this dimension of elegance and great brilliance. When I lived in Podgorica, I did most of the events there, and then in Budva, and since I moved to Nikšić, everything has changed and I said to myself - why not. Nikšić has an audience, Nikšić has a soul, Nikšić is a city of culture and I think it deserves an event like this," said Uljarević Baljević and added that the Nikšić audience proved to be "perfect" for an event like this.
The fashion show was opened by the collection of designer Nada Koljenšić from Nikšić, who took her first steps in creation in the nineties when she bought her first sewing machine. She presented her independent collection in 2012 and since then has participated in all domestic fashion events. She collaborated with numerous celebrities, and her models were also shown on runways in Europe.
"I wanted Nada Koljenšić to open the show. We are talking about a creator who is not only known here and in the region, but also in Europe. I also wanted to give young creators a chance, because I know what it was like for me when I was starting out, and I'm always here for any kind of support, especially for those young hopefuls," said Uljarević Baljević.
Creator Nada Vemić, a graduate in electrical engineering and a master's degree in ecology and environmental protection, who graduated from the Faculty of Design and Multimedia last year, works as a professor of the electrical group of subjects at the School of Electrical Engineering, where she leads the creative workshop "Montenegro goldsmithing" with the desire to convey to the students the skill of making Montenegrin shirts. She presented herself with a graduation collection called "Unbearable lightness of form".
Aleksandra Božović, a creator from Budva, presented her unusual ideas created in the desire to emphasize female sexiness through the brand "HN haute couture".
Ena Hasović graduated from diplomacy, but, as the host of the program Suzana Batina said, "her heart always belonged to the world of creativity, fabrics and design". She presented herself with the first fashion brand "Papè Couture", which is not just a brand, but a story about her, "about her inner world and her desire to translate her creative visions into something that can become a part of your life, something eternal".
Although she graduated in fashion design from the Faculty of Design and Multimedia in September, Ksenija Đurković participated four times as a student at Fashion Week Montenegro, as well as at the Balkan Art Fashion Event 2023. in Belgrade. She presented herself with a graduate collection that is the embodiment of "dreamy elegance and minimalist aesthetics" and is called "Dream escape".
The beginning of the career of the creator from Russia, Elena Sycheva, is connected to Montenegro, so she spends most of the year in the country, which she says is "a beautiful fairy-tale place, where everything is set up so that you create and dream".
"Expect the unexpected from 'D models' agency in the coming period, not only in Nikšić, but also in other cities," enigmatically said the director of the Agency, who at the end of the fashion show walked together with the participants, as well as the secretary of the Secretariat for Culture, Sports, Youth and social care, Dejan Ivanović, who provided great support in the organization of the event.
