Hermes presents leather bralette tops and quilted silk on the Paris runway

Hermes fashion house designer Nadezhda Vanhe presented a collection of bralette tops, quilted silk coats and dresses with sporty backs at the spring/summer show in Paris.

Models walked the runway in high boots, silk ponytails flowing behind them, wearing sand-colored shirts, skirts, and bralette sets, cinched in with leather belts and lace details.

The color palette was predominantly muted beige tones, with the occasional bright accent of red.

Hermes has outperformed luxury fashion rivals such as Louis Vuitton, Kering and Chanel, at a time when the industry is facing a prolonged slump in demand.

Dozens of brands, including Dior, Chanel and Gucci, have introduced new designers in an attempt to revive sales.

At Hermes, Vanhe, who heads the women's fashion department, has held that position for more than a decade.
