How many times have stories been told about the epidemic, the state of the country, and at the same time the importance of preserving mental health, and I don't think that is enough, so this time we will dedicate a few sentences about the situation that affects us all and where we experience similar or the same emotions together, we set similar or the same questions.

When we talk about health, we usually mean the physical and the successful functioning of all metabolic processes. Man, however, is a complex being, and it is not only the body that makes him, but also the soul, which is invisible, but which permeates the body and makes him a unique and unrepeatable being.

Preserving mental health in a time like this is extremely important, as well as being safe and careful against viral infection. What can be noticed and that is common to most of all, is the presence of fear, namely fear of the unknown, uncertainty, insecurity, fear for others, restlessness and changing life habits. All this can lead to the dysfunctionality of man as a being.

As someone who deals with people and understands their feelings and thoughts, and at the same time understands what other professionals do for our citizens, I can only say words of praise and how happy I am that we united in such a challenging time and really showed how quickly and can effectively intervene in a crisis.

The results show that people in Montenegro are becoming open to psychological methods and work approaches, that they are motivated to work on themselves, that they are interested in their mental health, that they learn more about their mental processes, and in this way I believe that we will come out stronger and better.

It is inevitable that a situation like this (for which we are not prepared) causes anxiety and panic attacks to develop in some, and that external triggers such as the media, the Internet, and all other information channels represent one of the main stressors.

In order to prevent the development of serious disorders in people, it is necessary not only to approach counseling, but also through applied psychology and psychotherapy. I believe that we should limit viewing any portals, reading any texts about this situation, stop comparing possible conspiracy theories with what is placed in the public, and stop dealing with the topic that is imposed on us every day.

I must point out that in this period parents of school-age children are currently the most affected, because the new school year is about to start, and with the purchase of books comes the uncertainty of whether school activities will take place in school classrooms or within the family home.

This represents an exceptional stress both for the parents themselves and for the children. Isolation in this sense, learning at home and parental supervision of children while they study, and how it can be a source of stress, primarily due to changing habits and changing lifestyles of parents and children.

Every change can cause stress, but every change is also a challenge and shows how adaptable and naturally ready for change the human spirit can be - and we see that when we compare (not so long ago) when we were without telephones and the Internet, and then the period when the new era of the Internet generation began, or when active teaching surpassed traditional teaching, and in this way, if the possibility for our children to continue their education online will eventually become a normal thing, to which we have adapted, and learned to the way we react and find ways to reach our goals.

Life continues, flows. Life and all of us have our own path in it. When we care about what is today, when we commit to the responsibilities of today, when we enjoy the moments we create today and when we nurture the relationships with the people we want to be with today, then there is no need to worry about what will happen tomorrow.

This seems, perhaps, a little strange, considering that there are people who will mention the bad economic situation that has affected a lot of people and that way they can't think like that, because they have to think about tomorrow.

But, if we stop for a moment, and really think about what our strengths and resources are that we have today, we will realize that it is not quite as black as our mind darkens, and that it is possible to find a way for everything we need, where we have a goal and desire, if we listen to ourselves and our being.

Emotional charges accumulated in us do not bring anything good, as well as worries about someone there tomorrow.

For the sake of one's well-being and health in the physical and psychological sense, a person should stop obsessing over the topic that has been imposed on us in this situation and stop trying to influence or control something from the outside.

“Accept, then act. Whatever the present moment holds, accept it as if you chose it yourself. Always work together with him, not against him” (E. Tol).
