One of the important milestones in life is surely the jubilee 40th birthday. In addition to numerous changes, nutritionists also advise a change in diet, because it is the right time to remove some foods from the menu.
Russian nutritionist, Zuhra Pavlova, claims that after 40 years of jubilee, the consequences of inattention from youth can be seen. However, it's nothing that healthy habits can't solve and help your body avoid heart, liver, joint and extra weight problems.
"You can forget chips and sodas. A varied diet is necessary to keep the whole organism in a healthy state. To achieve this, you must eat peas, beans, lentils, chickpeas, cereals and dairy products", explains Pavlova and adds that it is necessary that our menu often includes: sea fish, mushrooms, grapefruit, green vegetables, buckwheat, walnuts, broccoli, but also turmeric and cumin.
Also, the nutritionist points out that it is important to consume as much water as possible, because it plays a major role in the functioning of the body. In addition to water, herbal teas are also desirable in the daily diet, it says CityMagazine.
What should not be eaten after the age of 40?
Reducing sugar intake is the basis of a healthier life. "Sugar is one of the foods with a high glycemic index. It accelerates the aging of the brain, it is an excellent 'fuel' for malignant cells. It damages connective tissue proteins, which ages the skin, blood vessels and internal organs. You definitely have to give up juices and pastries. Also, try to reduce white bread, pasta, white rice and grains," explained Pavlova.
The doctor reminded of the damage that fast food can cause, because, as she explains, processed and fried food, especially meat, causes inflammation of the liver, blood vessels and joints, which results in problems with the skin, metabolism and weight gain.
