Stuffed peppers, zucchini, sarma... There are many dishes in which vegetables are stuffed with minced meat. Stuffed tomatoes have a special taste due to the fact that the filling is slightly lighter because part of it is the chopped inside of the tomato. It will serve perfectly as a light meal or side dish.
ingredients:
- 6 large tomatoes
- 1 onions
- 250 g of minced meat
- 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 100 g of hard cheese
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- salt, pepper
<strong>Preparation: </strong>
Wash the tomatoes, cut off the top of each and scoop out the middle with a spoon. Sauté the finely chopped onion, meat and the removed center of the tomato in the heated oil, until the mass thickens. Add salt, pepper and parsley.
Remove the mass from the stove, add half the amount of grated cheese and mix in the beaten egg. Fill the tomatoes with the resulting filling, arrange them in a greased fireproof bowl and bake in a preheated oven at 220 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the remaining grated cheese. You can serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
