"He doesn't even know how to fry an egg", is a famous sentence used to describe people who don't know how to prepare anything in the kitchen. However, the matter is not so simple - there are nuances that mean a lot.
The tip that famous chef Gorgon Remzi shares on his TikTok video, which has been viewed more than nine million times, is hidden in cubes of butter.
Pour a little oil into the pan and, when it is hot, add the eggs. During frying, add butter - it starts to foam when it comes into contact with the hot pan. This foamy consistency, he explains, helps the egg whites and yolks to be nicely cooked and gives the eggs a perfect taste and appearance.
"When the butter starts to foam, shake the pan slightly to help cover the surface of the eggs," advises Ramsi, who ends the baking process by placing the eggs on a plate and adding the rest of the butter and oil from the pan.
If you're worried about the butter burning, the chef advises to fry the eggs slowly over low heat instead of high heat.
When it comes to spices, the British chef uses salt, pepper and chili and chopped scallions that give additional taste and texture to the basic dish. If you are preparing the popular 'Sunny-side up', i.e. an egg baked on one side, Remzi uses another trick to get a great balance of crispness and taste - he adds salt to the oil and butter mixture before putting the egg in the pan.
