When gibanica is mentioned, we all think of a savory pie with cheese, but there is also a sweet, much more interesting version of the dish that bears the same name. Walnuts, poppy seeds and apples in one place hint at a great taste, all you have to do is try it.
ingredients:
500 g of thin crusts for benders 1st filling:
- 200 g ground walnuts
- 80 g of sugar
- 1,5 dl of milk
- 0,5 dl of rum
2. in:
- 500 g of fresh cheese
- 3 eggs
- a pinch of salt
- the zest of one lemon
- 80 g of sugar
- 1 vanilla sugar
3. in:
- 200 g of ground poppy seeds
- 2 dl of milk
- 50 g of sugar
- 2 spoons of honey
4. in:
700 g grated apples 1 teaspoon cinnamon pinch of salt 80 g sugar 1 vanilla sugar
For coating and filling:
- 50 g butter
- 2 dl sour cream
<strong>Preparation: </strong>
Mix and combine the listed ingredients for each filling.
Coat the bottom of the pan with butter. Stack 2 crusts, also coated with butter.
Spread the first filling evenly and place 2 buttered crusts on it.
Place the next filling on top of that, and so on until all the fillings have been placed, one by one. Finally, finish with two buttered crusts.
Pierce the cake with a toothpick, coat with sour cream and bake in an oven heated to 170°C for about 60 minutes.
