The days have become cool, so you no longer have to avoid spending a little longer by the stove. In addition, the time of celebrations and holidays is approaching, so a recipe for a nice old-fashioned chocolate cake can certainly come in handy.
ingredients:
For one crust:
- 10 egg whites
- 200 g of sugar
- 100 g ground walnuts
- 100 g of chopped roasted hazelnuts
- 1 tablespoon of ground biscuits
- 50 g chocolate powder
File:
- 20 egg yolks
- 250 g of sugar
- 400 g butter
- 150 g of chocolate
More:
- 150 g of chocolate
- 3 tablespoons of oil
Preparation:
Beat the egg whites until foamy, gradually add sugar. When the egg whites are stiff and the sugar is broken, turn off the mixer, add walnuts, hazelnuts, chocolate powder and mix by hand.
Put parchment paper in a 40x40 cm baking tray, spread the mixture evenly and bake for 15 minutes at 180°C.
Make two such crusts. Cut them in half, so that you get 4 crusts.
Beat egg yolks with sugar and steam them. Towards the end, add chocolate. Separately, beat the butter that has been at room temperature. Add butter to the cooled filling and combine the mass. Coat all four crusts evenly.
Melt 150 g of chocolate with 3 tablespoons of oil. Pour over the cake and decorate as desired. Leave to cool for two hours.
On the Instagram page tanjas.sweet.house where we found this recipe, it was explained that you can also make this kind of cake in a round pan. In that case, the filling is the same, and for each crust you need 7 egg whites, 5 g of sugar, 100 g of walnuts, 50 g of hazelnuts, a spoonful of biscuits, 50 g of chocolate powder. Bake four crusts in a mold with a diameter of 25 cm.
