Ingredients (for 4 people)
You can combine fruits that are in season and affordable, but here is a basic combination:
2 banana
2 apples
2 peaches or nectarines
1 handful of blueberries or grapes (preferably seedless)
1 orange
1/2 lemon (for juice)
1 tablespoon honey or 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)
Fresh mint leaves (optional)
Procedure
Fruit preparation
Wash and peel (if necessary) all the fruit.
Cut the bananas and apples into slices or cubes.
Peaches/cut into thin slices.
Cut the grapes in half if the berries are larger.
Cut the orange into pieces (you can squeeze some of the juice into the salad).
Spice it up
Pour the juice of 1/2 a lemon over everything to keep it from darkening and to keep it fresh.
Add honey or brown sugar if you want a sweeter version.
Mix everything gently.
Serving
It can be served after resting in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves or a little grated lemon/orange zest.
Tips:
If you have it, you can also add watermelon, kiwi, or plums.
Instead of honey, yogurt or Greek yogurt is a great addition for a creamier version.
For an extra touch, sprinkle some cinnamon or vanilla powder.
