The sink is one of the places in the kitchen that gets dirty the fastest and harbors bacteria, especially if it's full of dirty dishes. However, disinfecting it doesn't have to be complicated or expensive – all it takes is a few minutes and ingredients you probably already have at home.
1. Baking soda and warm water
Sprinkle baking soda over the surface of the sink and leave for a few minutes. Then scrub with a sponge or brush and rinse with warm water. The soda removes grease and unpleasant odors.
2. Alcoholic vinegar
Pour half a cup of vinegar and half a cup of water into a spray bottle. Spray the sink and leave it for five minutes. The vinegar kills bacteria and adds extra shine.
3. Lemon for the finishing touch
Cut a lemon in half and rub it over the surface. The citric acid disinfects and also removes limescale. Plus – the kitchen will smell fresh.
This little ritual only takes a few minutes, and if you include it in your evening routine, your sink will always be clean, disinfected, and ready for a new day.
