Among the surveyed men in six countries (Belgium, England, Germany, Portugal, Spain and Sweden), as many as 72 percent of them, who are also football fans, admitted that they would rather watch a game than be in an intimate relationship with a loved one.
And not only will men choose football over sex, but many admit, even 75 percent of Portuguese, that they cried when their team lost.
Neurologists, who observed the brain activity of soccer fans while watching a game, discovered that the moment a soccer fan's team scores a goal - the area of the brain responsible for intense pleasure and sexual excitement is activated.
