Research has shown that one in six doctors recommend evening sex to their patients who have sleep problems. One of the consequences of the modern lifestyle is the poor quality of sleep, and only 21 percent of the world's population sleeps the recommended eight hours.
Judging by the findings from research organized by experts in Australia, sex before bed is the best medicine for all those who have difficulty sleeping or insomnia.
The results say that even two thirds of the respondents confirmed that they sleep better if they had sex. A lot of research has shown that the culprit for sleep problems is a stressful lifestyle, but also looking at a mobile phone before going to bed.
This is not the first time that sex has been linked to a good night's sleep. Various previous studies have shown that the key thing is the orgasm, during which the hormone oxytocin is released in large quantities, which is believed to act as a sedative and reduce the time it takes to fall asleep.
After orgasm, our bodies release significant amounts of oxytocin, which automatically reduces the level of the stress hormone cortisol, resulting in deep relaxation.
Although research has shown that 75 percent of men always achieve orgasm during sex, in contrast to 29 percent of women, experts say that it is not just about a "happy ending." When you're occupied with sex, you don't think about what you're going to do the next day, you won't be thinking about the responsibilities that await you or thinking about plans. Sex occupies you and makes you relax, whether you like it or not.
