This does not mean that looks and personality are less important, but people also pay attention to the height of their potential partner when deciding whether to start a relationship with them.

Researchers from the University of Seoul found that the height of a partner is especially important to women. They are supposedly happier if they are in a relationship with a relatively tall man. Polish anthropologist Boguslav Pavlowski even claims that there is an ideal relationship between the heights of partners in a relationship.

And that's where the magic number 1,09 comes into play. Professor Pavlovski's research showed that it is ideal for a man to be 1,09 times taller than his partner. This means that a woman of 172 centimeters will be satisfied in a relationship with a man of 187 centimeters.

Professor Pavlovski believes that women's preference for tall men has something to do with evolution. Height was often a symbol of health and greater reproductive potential.
