Basketball club Budućnost Voli organized the traditional "Blue Night" last night, and on that occasion the team and coaching staff for the 2024/2025 season were presented. The team that will be led to new successes by the captain, Aleksa Ilić, consists of Juwan Morgan, Rasheed Sulaimon, Fletcher Magee, Petar Minić, Andrija Slavković, Nikola Tanasković, Yogi Ferrell, Đorđije Jovanović, Mateo Prežnjak, Mckinkley Wright, Judoka Azubuike and Kenan Kamenjaš. Andrej Žakelj is the head of the professional staff, Gavrilo Pajović is the sports director, and Suad Šehović is the deputy executive director for sports matters.
After the presentation of the team to a large number of dignitaries and guests gathered in SC Morača, the president of the Budućnost Voli Basketball Club, Dragan Bokan, spoke and pointed out that every basketball season begins with expectations, excitement and ambition.
"Our goal is not only to win on the field, it is equally important for us to grow and progress as a team. Every training session, every game, every action is an opportunity to show our heart and team spirit. Success does not come by chance, but I deeply believe that with persistence, work and togetherness we can achieve the results we dream of. We all have our own goals, but as a team we have one common goal - to end this season with success, proud of our efforts and achievements, proud of the fact that we all individually overcame our limits," said Bokan.
On this occasion, he wished all team members and the coaching staff a quality season that will be remembered for fair play, top results and matches that will be talked about for a long time and with pride.
"Dear players, let every game remind us that the blue and white jersey of Buducnost Volija is worn with pride and responsibility towards the long-standing tradition and the growing generations. You know that under the baskets you represent not only yourself, but everyone who believes in you. Your strength is in the team – when you fight together, when you push each other to be better, there is no obstacle you cannot overcome. Let's do our best, play with all our heart and prove that big days are ahead of us," the president of the club pointed out.
Bokan expressed special gratitude for the support of KK Budućnost Voli to the Prime Minister, Milojko Spajić, Mayor Olivera Injac, as well as her deputies then Danilo Šaranović and now Luka Rakčević, as well as the secretary of the Capital City Finance Secretariat, Balša Špadijer.
A significant role in last night's ceremony was played by the members of the Management Board of Buducnost Voli, among whom are representatives of some of the most influential companies in Montenegro, united by a joint sports mission and the support provided by KK Buducnost Voli.
The Blue Night was an opportunity to celebrate the new partnership and to welcome the new member of the management of Buducnost Voli, and the cooperation between Hipotekarna banka and KK Buducnost Voli was made official by signing a sponsorship agreement. The contract was signed by club president Dragan Bokan and representative of Hipotekarna banka, Miljan Todorović.
"No one has achieved anything alone. Only together we can do more, thank you for that. Without your help, much of what we have achieved, and what we will achieve, would not be possible.
