On this occasion, the Minister of Tourism, Simonida Kordić, M.Sc said that the British market is one of the most important Western European broadcasting markets for Montenegro, and that we are continuously recording a growth in the number of tourists from this market.

"I would say that there is a natural affinity for the authentic tourist product that Montenegro has to offer. In addition to the sun, beaches, sea, there is a famous cultural heritage and increasingly popular active tourism, so the increasing interest of British tourists is not only typical for the south of Montenegro, but also for the central, and especially the northern part. It is very important for us to strengthen this kind of cooperation - these are guests who visit Montenegro, not only in the peak season but also in those periods before and after the main summer tourist season, which is extremely important because one of our goals is to reduce the impact of seasonality in tourism and to offer those contents that are attractive throughout the whole year", concluded Kordić.

Director of the National Tourist Organization of Montenegro, Dr. Ana Tripković Marković, stated that this year there was a significant increase of 30% in the number of arrivals of Truists from Great Britain compared to the previous year, and a growth of 42% compared to 2019. She stated that these data were also recognized by the European Travel Commission, in whose reports Montenegro is listed as one of the two destinations with the highest growth in the number of tourists from Great Britain.

"We believe that two factors are responsible for these results. First, air accessibility has been significantly improved, and this year we were connected to four British cities – London, Manchester, Bristol and Birmingham. The activities of the NTO of Montenegro also contributed to this. For two years, we have been implementing a program of incentive measures aimed at improving the visibility of Montenegro as a tourist destination and increasing the number of arrivals through cooperation with airlines that bring tourists to Montenegro in an organized manner, which resulted in the opening of airline routes from Birmingham and Manchester. In addition, we believe that other efforts made by NTO Montenegro, such as presence in the most prestigious British media, have contributed to the extremely high visibility of Montenegro as a tourist destination. Through the two biggest campaigns, campaigns with the BBC and campaigns with Jet2holidays, we achieved a reach of 50 million viewers, which really speaks of the huge presence of Montenegro in the media space of Great Britain", said Tripković Marković.

NTO Montenegro during its participation in the fair in London, premiered a new campaign, which includes a new destination spot. The campaign is intended for promotion on the markets of Great Britain, France and Germany and presents Montenegro as an attractive year-round destination for all those looking for an unforgettable holiday and an authentic experience.

In addition to the large number of meetings held with tour operators, airlines and other partners from the British market, the minister cordić and director of the NTO of Montenegro Tripković Marković have given interviews for some of the world's leading media, including BBC, Euronews, Breaking Travel News, Travel Weekly and others.

Due to the increased interest in Montenegro, in front of the company Jet2.com i Jet2holidays said that Montenegro proved to be an extremely popular destination during the previous year, and this year we introduced routes to Tivat from Birmingham and London Stansted.

"Accordingly, we increased the capacity for the summer of 2025 by nine percent compared to the summer of 2024. The size and scope of our program for the summer of 2025 to Tivat represent our biggest offer to date, with more places and opportunities than ever. Flights for the 2026 season are already on sale, allowing our passengers to book their holidays in Montenegro in advance", said the largest British tour operator and one of the largest British airlines.

During the meeting with the delegation of Montenegro, BBC Regional Director for Europe, Sara Damak said that the cooperation with the NTO of Montenegro during the previous year was extremely successful.

"Not only did we record a TV show that was a huge success, but we also published an article on the bbc.com portal, launched a prime-time destination spot and ran a digital campaign. That's how we got to a very large auditorium," said Damak.

Local tourism organizations and the tourism industry expressed satisfaction with their participation in this fair. Director of TO Prijestonica Cetinje, Nikola Jablan pointed out that Cetinje also recorded a growth in the number of tourists from Great Britain, and that the opening of the cable car significantly contributed to that growth.

"A large number of those present at the fair showed interest when it comes to culture and history and certainly that Cetinje has a lot to offer when it comes to this segment of the offer, so we expect that in the coming period and next year we will have as many visitors as possible from the British market.

At this year's fair in London, the executive director DMC's Cosmopolitan, Nataša Dunđerović pointed out that the UK market is of key importance for tourism in Montenegro, and that their partner is the company EasyJet recognized the great potential of the destination and therefore invested in expanding the flight network.

"With increased frequencies from Manchester and London (Getwic and Luton), as well as new lines from Geneva, Berlin and Bristol, the number of passengers is growing significantly. Last year we recorded even 70% more guests compared to the previous year, and with this dynamic development we expect Montenegro to become one of the favorite resting places for British travelers", said Dunđerović.
