The company doMEn doo, the registration agent for the Montenegrin national domain .ME, has announced Public call for grant funding for the organization of STEAM competitions (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics).

This initiative is being implemented through a new program called Spark.me STEAM adventure, which represents a continuation of several years of socially responsible activities of the company doMEn aimed at young people and the development of their digital and creative skills. Through this initiative, DOMEN wants to enable young people in Montenegro aged 15 to 30 to connect with real challenges in the STEAM field through a competitive format, develop their skills, and gain experience that can help them in their future careers.

The public call is intended for teams composed of adult individuals, as well as non-governmental organizations, student associations and legal entities that have the capacity to independently organize competitions in Montenegro. Supported projects will be directed precisely at the aforementioned target group of young people aged 15 to 30, with the aim of developing their skills and creative potential through practical participation in competitions.

Spark.me STEAM adventure represents an important new step in doMEn's socially responsible strategy towards young people, by expanding initiatives from STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) to STEAM, integrating Art as a key element for encouraging creativity and innovative thinking. Although the company has been actively investing in the development of digital and technical skills for years, this approach additionally responds to the needs of generations growing up in a time of rapid change, where creative thinking is just as important as technical skills. This change is also reflected in the refreshed visual identity of the platform STEAM education, where all information about programs, calls and resources available to young people and organizations across Montenegro is now consolidated.

Projects that can be applied for include various formats - from programming, robotics and science experiments, to digital art, IoT and AR/VR solutions.

The total call fund is €100.000, while individual support amounts can be between 5.000 and 30.000 euros. Competitions must be held live, between August 2025 and April 2026.

"In a time when young people are faced with the challenges of an uncertain future and rapid technological change, it is important that we give them the space to explore, create and test ideas. The Spark.me STEAM adventure is not a radical turn, but a natural continuation of what doMEn has been building for years - investing in the potential of the community, especially young people, with the awareness that the forms of that support must constantly adapt to new circumstances. Today's context requires new approaches and flexibility in the way we provide young people with the space, support and trust to create, experiment and grow. This is just another important step in that direction - and certainly not the last.", said Predrag Lešić, CEO of doMEn.

The program aims to motivate a new generation of young people in Montenegro to recognize STEAM as a space for expression, solving real problems, and building a career.

The call is open until May 31, 2025., and the results will be announced on June 30, 2025. We invite everyone who has an idea, knowledge and will to contribute to the development of the community through STEAM - to apply and become part of this story.
